Hi Christian,

the file s.c is only needed by the R package (or S-Plus library). You can simply ignore it for building gstat stand alone. Also make sure that USING_R is not defined, so that parts that need linking to the R math libraries are ignored.

the --without-curses configure flag was originally designed to do that,
but currently doesn't lead to a clean compile using gcc. You could just
ignore the user interface, or alternatively download gnuplot from
www.gnuplot.info

these are links to the meschach library, the necessary parts of which
are in the directory next to src.
