sos4R demo packages Air Quality failure

jjcabrera20
Hello everybody
I am new to R and either to it's package sos4R. Today I was trying to use the provided "demos" and the one that I am very interested is the demo about air quality. I tried to load it with demo("airquality"), but I it seem that the SOS is not working anymore.
when I try it gives the following:
[sos4R] ERROR: Got HTML response!:
Apache Tomcat/6.0.24 – Error report HTTP Status 404 – /AQE/sostype Status reportmessage /AQE/sosdescription The requested resource (/AQE/sos) is not available.Apache Tomcat/6.0

Does someone there have an code for using sos4R, gstat and spacetime do something like the demo. I would like to try since I am starting my thesis research on applications of SOS for real time GIS.

Thanks for your help

Regards

Jorge

That message means that the service is unavailable. There are to ways to
check that: (i) open the URL in a web browser, and see that there is
nothing there (ii) turn on the verbose option to see the full HTML reponse.

Solution: I contacted the maintainers and the service is available
again, the demo runs fine fow me now.

Well, there are the other demos, though non has the spatial analysis
stuff as airquality has. Take a look at the gstat and spacetime examples
out there and try to apply them with data from a SOS - and let us know
what you achieve :-).

Hope this helps,
Daniel
